Music at Santee UMC

Santee United Methodist has a rich history of worship through music. Since 1911, the church has used vocal and instrumental music in the service. There have been several talented people who have guided this ministry and have built it to what it is today. The Music Director, Deanna Hastings, is a classical pianist/organist, Choral Director and Orff-Schulwerk specialist. Our pianist, Jan Ault, is a classical pianist and composer. 

Currently, we have a children’s choir, an adult choir and a praise band. The repertoire for each group is varied, ranging from classical to popular to contemporary but always with age-appropriateness and a worshipful tone. New people are always welcomed.  Each group has specific rehearsal dates and presentation dates. Please contact the music director for details.
