Living Faith Sunday School is a program designed by the parents, Sunday School teachers and staff of Santee United Methodist Church. Our desire is to enhance our children's biblical literacy, encourage them to apply the gospel to their everyday lives, and increase their experience of worship. We want to create flexible opportunities for teachers so that more adults are able to get to know our children. Most importantly, we want to translate Christ's good news into language that kids can understand and get excited about!

Living Faith Sunday School
unique!
The most obvious difference between this and other programs is that three weeks a spent studying each biblical text. Every week, children dig deeper into the text by rotating to a different learning zone. Because more time is spent on each story, students move toward mastery of text through life application and hands-on fun...
The "Zones"
ART
- Giving students a chance to respond
creatively to biblical text.
Music
- Using rhythm, music and hymns to understand biblical message.
Computer
- Using computers to create interactive projects.
Cooking
- Using our church kitchen to enter the biblical world.
Science
- Using scientific experiments to illustrate spiritual truths.
Storytelling
- Giving kids a chance to act out the story themselves.
Game
- Using play to reinforce the lesson or story at hand.
Celebration Sunday
- On the first week of every month, all
elementary grades join for a Children's Worship Service called Celebration Sunday!
The children will review their learning for the month, worship God through prayer and
singing and rejoin their families at the end of the hour to share communion together.
