Our Pastors
Senior Pastor Kay Barré is passionate about preaching the truth that God’s graceful love is for all people. Pastor Kay holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins and an M.Div. from the Claremont School of Theology and was ordained in 1996. Both of Pastor Kay’s parents were in the U.S. Air Force, and she has lived in 8 states as well as Norway and Germany. She has served her entire ministerial career in Southern California, serving Santee UMC since July of 2009. She and her husband of 16 years, Douglass, have two sons—five year old Corwin and 7 year old Kieran. She enjoys reading, playing board games, homeschooling her children and many crafts that she is not particularly good at.
Pastor Diane Davis is the Minister of Discipleship. She is an ordained permanent Deacon in the United Methodist Church and has a Masters in Religious Education from Claremont Theological School. Her passion is in connecting the church to the community around it. Over the past 20 years of ministry in the southern California she has developed a preschool, built strong programs for children and youth and has established opportunities for nurture and support in Adult Ministries.
Prior to becoming a minister in the United Methodist Church, Diane worked as a dental hygienist. She keeps her hygiene license up-to-date in order to work in various dental outreach and mission programs.
Diane was born and raised in Lemon Grove, California. She currently lives in El Cajon with her dog Molly. She enjoys reading, walking on the beach, scrapbooking and traveling.
