Women's Ministries

PURPOSE OF THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.


Santee United Methodist Women support the UMW purpose by:

1. Expanding Spiritual Growth through
Programs and devotions in Unit and Circle meetings
Prayer partners
2. Supporting Missions (global and local)
Fund raising (Annual Bazaar and Tea)
Special projects throughout the year
Prayer
3. Education
Reading Program
District and Conference events
Mission Studies
Social action opportunities
4. Fellowship
We meet regularly for prayer , study, social action and mission engagement. We also get together just to have fun:
Praying for each other
Supporting each other
Rebekah Circle (meets 2nd Thursday of month 10:00 am)
Annual July Luncheon
Annual Christmas Lunch/Program


Meetings
UMW Rebekah Circle Meeting - Every second Thursday of the month at 10:00 am in Sunshine Hall.

UMW Unit Meeting and potluck - Every third Thursday of the month at 10:00 am in Sunshine Hall. Presentations, speakers, studies on women in transition, Christian missions and children and youth advocacy.

United Methodist Women (globally 800,000 strong), are active in all areas of their church. Members serve by teaching, sharing and advocating for women and children all over the world. Membership is open to all women regardless of church affiliation.
